Thank you for visiting my website to learn about my professional experience and my volunteer service on behalf of the IEEE members in this Region.  in support of IEEE's mission. I am excited to be running as a candidate for the 2023 Region 6 Director-elect.

Having served as the Chair for 3 times and continued to serve as an advisor to Santa Clara Valley (SCV) Section, the largest Section in IEEE, I have contributed significantly to IEEE by mentoring and growing volunteer officers and initiating new programs in engaging members :

• recruiting and appointing new volunteers in the SCV Section Executive Committee (ExCom) to chair various new initiatives.

• providing historical perspective and advice to the SCV Excom.

• initiating and supporting new programs such as Startup SIG, Corporate Liaison Program (CLP), Brain Data Bank Challenge, Section Awards, Member Elevation, and Tech History.

• extending partnerships to industry organizations with similar interests such as Computer History Museum, Maker Faire, SEMI.org, Sensors Expo, and Chinese American Semiconductor Professional Association (CASPA).

 

I would like the opportunity to lead Region 6 in fostering more collaborations amongst the Sections and chapters, and to provide support for the development of new programs to engage members in the industry and in academia. I would appreciate your vote.

My priorities for Region 6 are:

• Energize Region 6 volunteers by providing them with better tools to enable them to perform the tasks in supporting IEEE more efficiently and effectively.

• Promote sharing of best practice ideas amongst all Region 6 Section chapters and promote co-sponsored chapter events.

• Increase collaboration opportunities between IEEE and professionals in tech companies in Region 6 by aligning the IEEE values with the priorities of these professionals.
